Who Shot John Lennon?

Label: GRD3474

Documentary that revisits the assassination of John Lennon in New York on 8th December 1980. Though Mark David Chapman was convicted
for the crime, his motives for shooting the former Beatle have always been somewhat mysterious. The programme contains an exclusive
interview with Chapman and attempts to shed new light on the tragedy of Lennon's death.

When a truly gifted world treasure is suddenly taken from us, we all stop in disbelief, transfixed in a state of shock.
It is a moment that is forever locked in our consciousness and we never forget where we were when we heard the tragic news.
It happened when JFK was shot, when Martin Luther King was assassinated, when Princess Diana died and it was certainly
the case when John Lennon was murdered.

The overwhelming sense of loss leaves us devastated, angry and confused and with more questions than answers. With incredible
footage and hard-hitting interviews, this DVD not only chronicles the remarkable life of John Lennon but also tries to answer
the question that has haunted us for 30 years.

Why did a deranged gunman, so acutely frustrated and depressed at how his life had stagnated, decide to shoot John Lennon
in New York on 8th December 1980?

Comments:
My initial thoughts are why, why, why are they seeing this from Chapmans angle? As this makes him out to be some sort of
star himself when in reality he is just a stupid, foolish and mentally deluded murderer; and putting it that way is giving
him far too many complements.
